How to prevent Norton from removing Restoro?

Norton Antivirus or Norton Security might repeatedly alert you that a particular file or folder has a virus even though you know it doesn't. This result called a "false positive," can be quite annoying. Fortunately, you can instruct the program to ignore specific files or folders during scans on Windows as well as Mac computers.

Here's how to exclude specific files and folders from a Norton:

Note: Dozens of Norton Security antivirus programs are on the market, so the process might be slightly different depending on your version.

  1. Start Norton.

  3. In the Settings window, click Antivirus.

  4. In the Antivirus settings window, click the Scans and Risks tab.

  5. Under Exclusions / Low Risks, in the Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection row, click Configure.

  7. In the Add Folder dialog box, click the browse icon.

  8. In the dialog box that appears, select the Reimage directory "C:\Program Files\Restoro\" (without the quotation marks).
