How to find OS and service pack on any PC even one that can't boot?

On non-bootable PC:

1. Boot using BootCD
2. Run regedit
3. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
4. File >Load Hive > C:\windows\system32\config\software (C:\ resembles the OS drive and can be replaced as necessary)
5. Enter key name
6. Hives are loaded to the new key you just created
7. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\key\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ , CSDVesrion shows the OS and SP

On Bootable PC:
1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ , ProductName and CSDVesrion shows the OS and SP
